 Echoes Of Yesterday My final project is a photo documentary of Mckenzie where Bethel is located. The photos are shot in colour to keep the feel of the town as accurate as possible. The photos are  framed landscape to capture a full view of the area.  These photos aim encapsulate the past and current of the town. It is a place that has historical value and I show its value through my photography. It is a place where I find myself after 18 years living in Australia and I want to explore the place I now reside through my photography. In my work I aim to capture the veins and roots of this small town through the lens of my camera. Finding the beauty and history in the small details and the values of the larger ones. I want the viewer to see that this is more than just a small town but a place where many call home and have a deep connection too. Assignment 3 Portraits

In these portraits I worked with 2 models, each sporting different clothing choices. The first model donned a Portugal football top leaning into an athleisure style. The second model is wearing a brightly colored jacket and black undershirt. These clothing choices helped my theme which was different types of fashion which they portrayed. The brightly colored clothes helped add some flair and catch attention especially as I used a plain white background to help achieve this.

Assignment 2 DOF and Motion

                                                                                 DOF1   In this photo I tried to frame the persons head in the outline of the goal net. I got the goal net out of focus creating a blurred effect and shallow depth of field with a small F stop number. DOF2 In this image I placed the ball as the centre of attention and blurred the background to make sure the ball and leg are all the priority in the image. DOF3 In this image I placed the camera to the left of the dodge logo and made it so the focus slowly disappears. It's in focus enough where you can still read it, but it adds a nice composition including leading lines. Assignment 2 Check-In

This photo, similar to DOF 1, aims to us an external object as a frame with the subject centered and in focus. However, this image is my least favorite as it was used with digital crop zoom on a wide-angle lens therefore resulting in lower image resolution and quality. (DOF 2) In this photo I tried to frame the persons head in the outline of the goal net. I got the goal net out of focus creating a blurred effect and shallow depth of field with a small F stop number. (DOF 1)   In this photo I took of someone kicking a ball. I set a high shutter speed in order to freeze motion. I achieved this well but there is a slight distortion in the kicking foot. Where am I From?

 I am from a city in rural Western Australia, called Bunbury, 2 hours away from Perth (the state capital). This city is home to around 80,000 people and sees many tourists visit throughout the year. This is the place I was born and raised for 18 years, and I've now decided it's my time to pursue more by making the move across the other side of the world here to the USA. Bunbury has a beautiful coastline which many enjoy during the summer and a busy CBD home to many restaurants and shops. Many sports clubs and teams are based here which allowed me to start playing soccer and also play many other sports. 2 hours north you'll find yourself in the state capital, Perth, home to over 2 million people and if you go 2 hours down south, you'll find yourself almost on the edge of the world, one of the closest points to Antarctica.
